Joseph Conforti
Raku Ceramics

Joseph Conforti is an artist specializing in raku ceramic sculptures.

Joe was born and raised in the New York City area. After building a successful career in the entertainment marketing field, he switched gears and decided to pursue his passion for art.

In addition to his studio in SOHO, Joe finishes all his work at his raku facility in Northern New Jersey. He has both designed and built the raku kiln he currently uses.

A large majority of Joe’s work continues to be for interior designers and private clients. Custom designed pieces have been created for such design firms as Peter Marino Architect, Clodagh Designs, Tommy Chambers, Jed Johnson and others.

Most recently Joe has worked with Studio Soffield on a permanent installation in the Tribeca Grand Hotel and with M3 Architechts on an installation in the Chrysler Building.

His work has been featured in The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, New York Magazine, Interior Design, Elle Décor, British Elle Décor and Wallpaper magazines.
